My name is Leatitia Van Heerden. I am a Registered Nurse and offer high quality career ranging from assisted daily life activities to complex clinical care with in home and scope of practice. I have 36 years worth of high quality nursing experience and have worked in different countries such as South Africa and Saudi Arabia with different health care needs. I also extensive experience looking after sick children and neonatal care and have worked in both the public and private sector of nursing. I offer tender care to those who need my help so we are looking forward to care for your family.

Dragonfly Care appoints a Registered nurse to contribute to the goal sand functions of the business. The Registered nurse provides specialist hands-on nursing care, training, and supervision of a delegated worker to respond to the complex care need sofa participant. A Registered nurse has a strong commitment to enhancing daily living skills of participants/ clients and their families/ careers. The Registered nurse provides individual assessments, management, treatment and supports to individuals, families, significant others dealing with disabilities. In addition to a Registered nurse’s responsibilities, the role requires attendance of regular meeting sand quarterly/annual Committee meetings. Community inclusion, hope, independence, decision-making, compassion, service excellence, and personal choice should be promoted through these supports.

Michelle Nikolovski

Registered Nurse-Support Service

My name is Michelle Nikolovski. I am an Enrolled Nurse. I absolutely adore what I do and truly enjoyed the community side of nursing when I did my placements since then I have had 4 years of experience in the workforce. I concurrently still work in the private sector. My specialities include orthopaedics, plastics (skin grafts, rotational flaps and/or skin cancer removal) and vascular. Safe to say I do a ton of complex wound dressing and management. I worked in the aged care/disability sector for three years as a PCA in the Dementia specific. I enjoyed every minute of my time there and considered the residence as family, still to this day I think of them. That is how I care of each and every person under my care, if they were family.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Regular changing of dressings on participants wounds.
  • Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
  • Supporting participants in the use of aids and personal equipment including standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids.
  • Supporting participants with complex and/or challenging needs.
  • Monitoring the well-being of participants and reporting on their progress.
  • Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required.
